Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shift (early finish on a Friday – 12:30pm)
Due to continued growth, our client, a market leading manufacturer based in Bar Hill are currently looking for Mechanical Technicians to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
- Comprehensively read, understand, and work from technical and engineering drawings
- Assemble and weld small bore tubing and associated mechanical components to precise specifications (within 0.5mm)
- Perform mechanical assembly and pipe preparation tasks while adhering to cleanroom protocols
- Conduct vacuum, stress, and pressure testing to ensure product integrity and quality. (Training will be provided for these tasks)
- Be prepared to undertake assembly and testing tasks at client or customer sites as required
- Regularly liaise with the Production Manager or Supervisor to provide updates on the status of goods, highlight any challenges, and suggest improvements
- Maintain a safe and tidy work area, adhering to all health and safety procedures
Person Specification
In to be successful in the role of Mechanical Technician, you must:
- Be able to read technical drawings
- Have previous experience with measuring tools, vernier callipers, pipe cutters and benders
- Possess excellent attention to detail and capable of working to precise tolerances
- Ideally have a strong mechanical aptitude, a mechanical qualification/background would be advantageous (Graduates considered)
- Have good communication and the ability to work successfully as part of a team
Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits
- Salary: £27,430 per annum
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45
- Friday 08:00 to 12:30
