Recruit Mint have partnered with a leading name within the Aerospace industry based in Peterborough and they have an opportunity for a Software Test Engineer to join the team.

You will be a fundamental part of the Software Development Team who design and develop air traffic control communications solutions typically exporting to 80 countries a year.

Job Role

• Carry out software design and development to meet project requirements
• The focus will be on PC/server software, but with potential opportunities to work on an embedded platform too
• Carry out software automated test design, development and execution
• Detailed design of test suites, with guidance
• Test program development, debug and test
• Test plan execution
• Test report writing
• Technical documentation

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience in a software test role
• Experience of programming in C# or Python
• Familiar with defect reporting tools

Desirable

• Experience of automating tests
• Experience with one or more software test frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Robot, PyTest)
• ISTQB-qualified
• Understanding of networking technologies
• Use of Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins/Hudson, Travis, TeamCity)
• Experience of using Source Control tools (e.g. git)
• Experience in one or more of the following technologies: SQL, SNMP, REST API, VoIP, E1, GRPC, Blazor, Windows OS, Linux OS, Microsoft .NET / .NET Core
• Understanding/experience of Test-Driven Development
