Project Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work within our clients Projects Department at their modern fabrication facility in Peterborough.
They have built a reputation on a highly skilled workforce and are renowned for producing innovative quality fabrications in stainless steel for industries such as Food, Pharmaceutical, Water Treatment, Process Engineering, Dairy and Architectural.
You will be a pivotal part of the projects team where you will manage the customers enquiry from start to finish.
Job Description
- Management of fabrication projects from initial client enquiry, preparation of quotations, order/project winning, processing of production documents, and issuing to the shop floor
- Liaise closely with our clients throughout projects, maintaining a good working relationship with our customers
- Create BOM from customers drawings
- Purchase materials from multiple vendors ensuring best profit margins are achieved
- Produce Engineering drawings to a high standard for manufacture by our skilled workforce
- Produce engineering drawings to sub-contractors’ requirements for laser cut / folded and machined components
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget maintaining our high-quality standards
Person Specification
- Knowledge of Fabrication/Welding and Sheet metal procedures is essential
- Experience in costing and quoting fabrication jobs in stainless steel is an advantage
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
- Fluent with Microsoft Office programs
- Solid Works experience would be an advantage
- Experience of EN1090-1 is an advantage
- Good organisational skills and able to work under pressure and prioritise and manage your own workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hours of Work and Pay
- Up to £45,000
- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 5pm
