We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Science Teacher to join this popular school who are judged to be 'good'.
After two excellent years, the schools exam results in 2018 remain high. A level and BTEC results have enabled the school to maintain a high ranking
position amongst the top Sixth Forms in Cambridgeshire, and the GCSE results demonstrated an excellent increase in Progress of 10% on
last year. The school are also oversubscribed for the second year in a row this year by over 40% and the attendance is 2% higher than the national
The Science department is a dynamic and vibrant department and compromises ten teaching staff, two technicians and 11 dedicated laboratories.
Science students attend regular lectures at Cambridge University, celebrate Science week and take part in National competitions. The schools vision for science is that their students are curious about the world, engaged in learning about it, and fluent in explaining what they have learned.
Approximately a third of their students take AQA separate sciences and others take the AQA trilogy course. The school recruit well into the sixth form to study A-levels in physics, chemistry and biology and run a particularly successful Level 3 BTEC in Applied Science.
